A Career In Your 30s - A Possibility for Today's WTA Players

Greta Arn had been 0-15 against Top 20 players but stunned No.18 Maria Sharapova in the quarters.

With the current championship run of 31 year old Greta Arn at the Auckland Classic, it's becoming more and more apparent that 30-something players can still have a say in the WTA Tour.  The incredible achievements of Kimiko Date Krumm of Japan last year, who was in her late 30s have shown that it is possible to return to the WTA Tour and still achieve some milestones!

In a way, it is a foreboding possibility since the Williams sisters are still entering their 30s so should we hope for some Grand Slam titles from Serena when she hits her 30s?  Not an impossibility, considering how much dedication and power Serena shows especially when she's in a Grand Slam.  Ditto for her sister Venus.

Well, this wide spectrum of players can just mean a more exciting tour for everyone, and at least, give an option for younger women to start families when they want to, and possibly return to the tour if they still feel they still have something to offer to the world.
