Lauren Davis: Into Third Round of Australian Open for the Second Time

Lauren Davis of the US (#103) gets into the third round of the Australian Open for the second time.  

She upset Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia (#75) 76(7) Ret. in the second round.
She won over Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (#28) 16 63 64 in the first round.

She has been into the 3rd round of the Australian Open and Wimbledon.  This is also her seventh appearance in the second round or deeper in a grand slam.

She will next meet Russian Maria Sharapova (#5) in the third round.

Lauren Davis: Player Ranked Outside Top 100 Who's Into Second Round of French Open 2012

Lauren Davis (#162) shocked Mona Barthel of Germany (#32) 61 61 in the first round of this year's French Open, gaining her a second round berth. She lost though to compatriot, Christina McHale (#36) 61 62.  This was Lauren's first Roland Garros appearance.
