Only 17 years old, would you believe Borna Coric had to go through qualifying this year, even if he were the US Open juniors champion last year. There, he was able to defeat players who were much older and definitely bigger than him!
Soon as he got to the main draw, he dispatched Lukas Rosol, currently ranked #27, the Czech player who upset Rafael Nadal in Wimbledon in 2012. This time, it was Rosol's turn to be dispatched by this tough yet hot-looking Croatian player. Currently ranked #2014, Coric won his first round match 64 61 62.
He lost his second round match though to Dominican Republic's 67(2) 64 46 26. Victor is almost twice Borna's age and is currently ranked #80 in the world.
