2011's #5 Player - David Ferrer
It's noteworthy that David Ferrer is the player who is closest to challenging the Top 4 in men's tennis. He's also one of the players who rarely backs down in a fight! In 2011, he won Auckland and reached the quarterfinals of Melbourne. He then proceeded to defend his Acapulco title. He reached the fourth round in Roland Garros and the third round in Melbourne. He also reached the fourth round in Flushing Meadows. One reason though why his ranking is high is the high number of finals he was in! He made it into the semi's of the ATP World Tour finals losing to Roger Federer.
