On paper, it seemed thrilling to see two Grand Slam champions in a first round match, especially here in Wimbledon. At least you know you'll have a semblance of match, especially when one of the guys playing is the current world #1 and defending Wimbledon champion. However, Novak Djokovic was all business today, as he very well knows the dangers being posed by his opponent, Juan Carlos Ferrero. He is very experienced after all. He did showcase some really nice shots from time to time, showing glimpses of what he can really do - but Djokovic was just dogged and insistent and unwavering today. Everytime a break point came, Djokovic closed the door quickly. The scoreline showed how serious Novak was in defending his title - 63 63 60.
