Philipp Petzschner: Player Ranked Outside the Top 100 Who Reached the Second Round of the US Open 2012

Philipp Petzschner of Germany, ranked #106 defeated Nicolas Mahut of France, ranked #60 in the first round of the US Open 2012, 16 46 64 75 76(3).  This is the fifth time he has reached the second round of a US Open.  He will meet Nicolas Almagro of Spain, in the second round.
