WTA Top Tennis Nations 2011: #3 France
Interestingly, this year, it's France who zooms up the list, aside from Germany. France has always been a regular visitor to this list, although they were absent last year. They are still being led by Marion Bartoli at #9 while the rest are lingering at the back portion of the Top 100 - Pauline Parmentier (#73), Mathilde Johansson (#77), Virginie Razzano (#83), Alize Cornet (#88), Iryna Bremond (#95) and Stephanie Foretz Gacon (#100). I hope one of these ladies zoom up the rankings to give Marion a stronger French presence especially in the Grand Slams.
Missing from the list is Aravane Rezai who had a dreadful year and Caroline Garcia who broke through in the French Open last year.
