A finalist here last year, Simona Halep will try to win the title here in Fes this year. Last year, she lost to Iveta Benesova. This year though, she is the favored one to win, at least on paper, as she is ranked #66, as opposed to Alberta Brianti's #94. Today, she triumphed over Kirsten Flipkens, to make it to the finals of this event for a second year in a row. If she wins Fes, it will be her first WTA title, ever!
