Ksenia Pervak: Tashkent Open 2011 Champion
It's not like Russia needed another good player, but Ksenia Pervak (#37) finally has broken into the WTA winner's circle, winning her first title here in the Tashkent Open. She defeated Czech Eva Birnerova (#93) in the finals 63 61 and Urszula Radwanska (#105) of Poland in the semi's 62 64.
In the quarters, she edged Victoria Larriere (#208) of France 61 62. In the second round, she edged local player, Sabina Sharipova (#472) of Uzbekistan 63 63. In the first round, she defeated Galina Voskoboeva (#82) of Kazakhstan 62 75.
