Somdev Devvarman: Player Ranked Outside the Top 100 Who Reached the Second Round of the 2013 Australian Open

Somdev Devvarman of India, who is now currently ranked at #551, was a top 70 player two years ago.  He won his first round match handily today against Bjorn Phau of Germany, currently ranked #78, 63 62 63.  He will next meet Poland's Jerzy Janowicz.
